Aktion Winterhilfe / 23 Schweizer Künstler:innen
Das Haus der Kunst St. Josef präsentiert 23 aktuelle Positionen Schweizer Künstlerinnen und Künstlern.
Die «Aktion Winterhilfe» ermöglichte den Künstlern, die alle in der Schweiz wohnhaft und tätig sind, eine Plattform zum Verkauf ihrer Werke.
Nachdem der Bund wegen der Covid-19-Pandemie erneut die Schliessung der Kulturhäuser verordnete, war dies Anlass genug, die Ausstellung möglichst grossräumig zu realisieren. Nebst dem Haus der Kunst St. Josef, der ehemaligen Klosterkirche, fand die Ausstellung zum ersten Mal auch in der nahen, 1965 erbauten Klosterkirche statt. Die Präsentation der Bilder auf Sichtbeton und rotem Backstein in diesem modernen Bau bildete einen enormen Kontrast zur weissen, ehemaligen Klosterkirche.
Winter Aid Campaign / 23 Swiss Artists
Haus der Kunst St. Josef presented 23 contemporary positions by Swiss artists. The Winter Aid Campaign offered the artists – all of whom live and work in Switzerland – a platform to sell their works.
After the federal government once again ordered the closure of cultural venues due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this was reason enough to realise the exhibition on as large a scale as possible. In addition to Haus der Kunst St. Josef, the former monastery church, the exhibition was for the first time also shown in the nearby monastery church built in 1965. The display of the works on exposed concrete and red brick in this modern building created a striking contrast to the white interior of the former monastery church.
