White Heart

Gib mir deine Daten. Du bist nur eine Kopie.

Nave, alter room, chancel: a triad of promise. You enter the space where a God was once praised as a creator of all things. The sacred character has departed — perhaps it remains as an ancient, distant aura. You expect an atmosphere of tranquil contemplation in the nave, but the pounding of the rotating cylinders in the chancel brutally assails your ears. The machine syncopations of progress.

People used to say: Life is not an experiment; life is something given, a gift. For a long time now, this has brought no satisfaction to the machine. It experiments with the organism. It propels tubes in this giant, artificially inflated heart, which almost overwhelms you in the chancel. The bloatedness of a research that seeks to perfect humanity? For which being is the heart supposed? For the Übermensch?

A black hole pulsates in the core of the white heart: the uncanny and irresistible pull of the promise; to imitate life. No: to create it yourself. This building site is located in small things, microscopic things. And the divine printer also stands there, saying: “See, I am the new life. Give me your data. You are only a copy.”
